JAMP School Psychology Services
JAMP Special Education Services currently employs three school psychologists who are assigned to our eleven school districts. Psychologists conduct in depth evaluations of individual students, assisting IEP teams with identifying students with disabilities and consult with teachers and parents about student needs. They are active participants in the pre-referral and response to intervention (RtI) process. In addition to providing support to the educational teams they also support the teachers and students by providing cognitive and educational strengths screening, program planning, functional assessment and behavior management planning, and monitor the academic or social progress of individual or small groups of children. Psychologists teach social skills, lead therapy groups, counsel individual children, and offer workshops or technical assistance on specific topics.
